The new engine has been modified. The original 3D printed flywheel was replaced with a custom designed aluminium flywheel.
I have also designed a bracket to hold my position sensor along with a GT2 gear.

I have tested the chosen spring that will be used to operate with the position sensor.
I am also preparing for the next phase of my project where I attempt close loop control of the air displacer piston. I plan on using a DC motor fitted with an encoder. The challenge I am facing is converting rotational motion into linear motion. I am exploring three methods of solving this.
Also i will require a motor with a high rpm that will be able to keep up with the power piston.
